Work Experience: Henry joined DeMont & Breyer in 2009. Since joining the firm, Henry has focused on patent preparation and prosecution in the electrical, software, and mechanical arts. Henry's role also includes assisting DeMont & Breyer’s international practice with research, opinion work, and client counseling.
Prior to joining DeMont & Breyer, Henry was a Technical Advisor at a New York City firm. His responsibilities as a Technical Advisor included patent preparation and prosecution, as well as assisting in various patent litigation and invalidity matters.
As a foundation for his professional career, Henry worked at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as a Patent Examiner. He was assigned to the computer science department (Technology Center 2100) where he examined patent applications that ranged from data-processing to graphical user interfaces. Having left the USPTO, Henry continues to keep in contact with his former USPTO colleagues to discuss new patent examination guidelines and how to advance the prosecution of an application to allowance.
